Exposiciones fotográficas largas para retratar inspiradores paisajes

El fotógrafo Daniel Kordan recorre el mundo en busca de paisajes inspiradores y lo mismo retrata cielos nocturnos que las luces crepusculares. Lo suyo son las exposiciones largas, que requieren del equipo especializado que ya conoces -revísalo aquí- y una inspiración que seguramente sale facilmente a flote estando presente en lugares tan mágicos como estos.

So, let’s look back a month ago when we were camping and hiking under Fitzroy (Chalten) mountain. It looked like everyone from my group had ants in the pants, so we were exploring and creating almost the full day and night long. But night theme was among our favorites. At nights things around you become magical, especially when you see and feel the castle of Fitzroy mountain far above your head with its glory and strict beauty. In the night Fitzroy is framed by autumn leaves, moon and stars. The first days of our camping it was really cold in the night and frost fell on the lens very fast. So we were warming up by cleaning hardly our lenses, surrounded by beautiful Patagonia trees in the forest. Half of duplicates were lost due to the high humidity, but some images had a kind of magical look: brightest stars had this amazing shining structre, which I hope will represent some of the magic of that cold Patagonia night. In the night spirits of Fitzroy become alive, it’s a bit scary to stand in the middle of the forest screaming with the wind, while sandy cold wind from glaciers polishing your face with frost. Later I stood alone in this magical forest. On the way to Tara valley there are amazing stone monks. We came here in the night with hope to photograph the dark sky together with @yuribeletsky The altitude here is almost 5000 m! Our lungs were suffering the lack of oxygen, and it was crazy cold. The sky was very cloudy that day, and what you see is a twilight from sunset, just the beginning of the night. Wow! That was the most incredible sunset in my life! This is Pedras Rojas, very remote place in Atacama desert, Chile. I made this shot during our Altiplano expedition. We came here to sunset, but the wind was so strong, and it was extremely cold. I was almost lying on my tripod to make this shot stable… On the way back in the night we were even stopped by Chilean military police on the road. They said, we are crazy to photograph here at sunset. Completely tired we returned to our base in Atacama. It was incredible experience to drive in the night on the flooded Uyuni salt flats. Literally you can’t see a thing, just absolutely black tunnel in front of your car. What you feel is just how your car going through the mess of water and salt. It’s very easy to get stuck on the dangerous surface. Usually it’s up to 5-10 cm of water above the salt, but sometimes it go deeper. We made a gps track during the daytime to this exact place and followed it precisely in the night. Night sky is very colorful. It’s not black at all as it may seem by the naked eye. If you take the sensitive camera, d810a in this case, and bright lens, 14-24 nikkor for instance, you reveal spectacular gamma of colors. Nebulae will glow with deep red, atmosphere will emit green and red colors like clouds or nortern lights. There are not so many places on earth where you can observe the southern hemisphere sky in such detail. Probably, Altiplano is the best option.
